Dear Parents,
Welcome kids to 2nd grade! Parents, I am looking forward to teaching your child and getting to know your family. This will be an exciting and fun-filled year for all of us.
Expectations are high in 2nd grade! My philosophy is that children thrive and learn best when the teacher sets high standards for herself and her students. Our goal will be to exceed everyone's expectations by being willing to work and keep on working.
I will do my very best to make sure our classroom is a place where LOVE is King. I will endeavor to always maintain a positive learning environment that will enable us to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. Our classroom will provide an atmosphere that fosters problem solving skills, creativity, and communication skills...all in the name of LOVE.
Parents, your child and I will need your help to reach the goals we will set for this school year. Our communication throughout this year will be of major importance in developing a positive learning environment. When all involved are aware of our classroom rules, expectations, and routines, a sense of trust develops.
To foster daily communication your child will have a class binder that will contain a daily behavior form that will need to be signed or initialed daily. This form will keep you informed as to what the student may need help on and their behavior.
